Tips for better countertops

Do not use products that contain strong chemicals, corrosives, vinegar, stripers or abrasives that can cause damage to the surface. Clean with a mild cleanser and rinse with clean warm water. Then dry with a soft lint free cloth. Ordinary dish washing detergent is usually all you'll need.

In the case of natural stone, a penetrating stone sealer should be applied 3 to 4 times a year for maximum results.

Use cutting boards when slicing bread, meats, or vegetables to protect the surfaces from scratching and chipping.

DO NOT put hot pots, pans or appliances such as toaster ovens and slow cookers directly on your counter top's. Such items can cause serious damage to your stone or quartz counter tops. Always use protective trivet's.

Always check to make sure that the cleaners you use are safe for your type of countertop. Be cautious and check before you do anything you're not sure of.
